What is Plantar Fasciitis?
Do you experience a sharp stabbing pain in your heels which is worse first thing in the morning? This is one of the most common symptoms of Plantar Fasciitis. It is a condition in which plantar fascia, a thick band of tissue that runs across the bottom of your foot, becomes inflamed. Activities such as running, weight gain or unsuitable footwear can causes small tears in the fascia tissue. Overnight, this begins to heal and settle, however getting out of bed in the morning stretches the tissue, causing the tears to reopen, resulting in heel pain.
At Carol Anns Head to Toe Wellbeing, I offer treatments for Plantar Fasciitis, to help get you back on your feet. To arrange an appointment, contact my clinic in Middleton today. I welcome clients from across Manchester.
